Privacy Policy — Middle Finger browser extension — last updated June 3, 2025

Middle Finger collects no personal data, sends nothing to any server, and has no analytics or tracking of any kind.

What the extension does
Middle Finger is a browser extension that replaces your cursor with a middle-finger image when you hover over pictures that match keywords you configure. All logic runs entirely in your browser.

Data storage
The extension stores your configuration (enabled sites and keywords) using chrome.storage.local (or the equivalent Firefox API). This data:
— lives only on your device;
— is never transmitted to any server;
— is never shared with the extension authors or any third party;
— can be erased at any time by resetting the extension or uninstalling it.

Permissions
The extension requests the following browser permissions:
— storage — to save and load your site list and keyword list locally.
— Host permissions (*://*/*) — required because you can configure the extension to activate on any website. The extension is injected on all pages but only becomes active on the domains you explicitly add. No page content is read, transmitted, or stored.

Third-party services
None. The extension makes no network requests and loads no external resources.

Children's privacy
The extension does not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy
If the extension ever introduces features that affect data handling, this page will be updated and the date above will change. The extension's store listing will also note the change.
